Previous to the course, I came to a period in life, where I felt like being stuck in a ruck, no job, just left college and no idea of what I wanted to do next. However the little I did know at this point was the main things I enjoyed at college (writing and media),and how they were the things I wanted to carry on with. But from here where does an 18 year old go next? What jobs incorporate the things I was passionate about, how do I find out more about these industries? That's where Catch 22 came into action!
While here I've learnt skills to improve on my writing, work effics and a heap load of helpful insight, like what jobs are actually out there, and how you can achieve them. The main point I've learnt from being at Catch 22, is that if you want something enough, then you don't stop until you've got it. The main person you have to impress is yourself, and if other people like what your doing then great! If not then then there's always a next opportunity, and you should never feel disappointed, unless you know you could have worked harder.
From the course so far, I've defiantly gained a clearer knowledge of what I want to achieve with my future career. With this I've got a much more positive out look and I'm lucky to have found an organization like this, that helps us through the stages step-by-step, even after achieving work experience. At this point I've just got to keep my head down and keep focused on what there is to achieve for me.
